Abstract

Zusammenfassung Design und Entwicklung findet in vielen Kontexten statt, ist aber auch sehr vielfältig, wobei jede Situation unterschiedliche Kombinationen von Merkmalen und Problemen aufweist, die möglicherweise angegangen werden müssen. Dieses Kapitel identifiziert drei Gruppen von Faktoren, die den Kontext von Design und Entwicklung charakterisieren, und diskutiert 13 einzelne Faktoren, die aus diesen Gruppen stammen. Einige Schlüsselkonzepte und Implikationen für den Design- und Entwicklungsprozess werden für jeden Faktor skizziert. Das Kapitel hebt einige der vielen Probleme hervor, die berücksichtigt und während des Design- und Entwicklungsprozesses integriert werden müssen, und unterstreicht die Komplexität der Aufgabe. Es bereitet auch den Boden für eine Diskussion über Perspektiven, Ansätze und Modelle in den folgenden Kapiteln.
