Science Policy

In: A Journey into the Nonlinear World

Abstract

Besides research I had two other hats: these are related to my activities in science policy in Estonia as well as internationally. Although these hats were different, it was sometimes difficult to change them because the goals of the activities were similar, but certainly with a difference in scale. Looking back, I can say that I did my best in Brussels and Strasbourg at various meetings and committees, representing either my small country or all European academies. In what follows, the stories are described in sub-sections.
