Statistical Null Hypothesis Testing

Abstract

Statistical significance plays a critical role in reporting revelations of data from medical studies. Revelations of data are declared “significant” when P values of statistical significance tests are below 0.05. Descriptions of “significant” revelations are often ambiguous and hyperbolic. Statistics portraying revelations are not explicitly identified, and indications of revelations are not elucidated.
