Abstract

Zusammenfassung Für Kurt Gödel war seine Gesundheit – sowohl die geistige als auch die körperliche – fast sein ganzes Leben lang ein wichtiges Thema. Und sie war nicht nur für ihn persönlich, sondern auch für seine Familie und Freunde über viele Jahre hinweg wichtig. Zu verschiedenen Zeiten und wiederholt war sie der vorherrschende Einfluss auf sein tägliches Leben. Nach drei Kapiteln, welche der mathematischen Logik gewidmet waren, wollen wir nun einen Schritt zurücktreten und einen allgemeineren Aspekt von Kurt Gödels Leben betrachten – und hier weichen wir von der streng chronologischen Reihenfolge ab, der wir bisher gefolgt sind, um einen Überblick über die Rolle zu gewinnen, die gesundheitliche Fragen in seinem Leben spielten.
