Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der junge Kurt Gödel kam im Oktober 1924 nach Wien, wie wir wissen. Er teilte sich eine Wohnung mit seinem Bruder Rudolf, der damals sein fünftes Jahr des Medizinstudiums begann. Ihre Wohnung in der Florianigasse (Abb. 4.1 und 4.2 ) lag günstig in der Nähe der Universität und ihrer medizinischen Fakultät, und es gab genügend Platz, sodass Kurt und Rudolf jeweils ihr eigenes Schlafzimmer/Arbeitszimmer hatten. In ihrer Freizeit gingen sie oft gemeinsam aus, arbeiteten aber eigenständig und kamen und gingen ansonsten unabhängig voneinander. Diese Situation war anscheinend für beide zufriedenstellend. Ihr Vater kam gelegentlich geschäftlich nach Wien und sie trafen sich häufig mit ihm, und ihre Mutter besuchte sie auch, mehr, um am kulturellen Leben der Stadt teilzunehmen. Manchmal begleiteten sie sie zu Theater- und Operettenaufführungen.
