Abstract

This chapter explores eight non-academic areas that MBA students can leverage to enhance their overall experience and maximize the benefits of their business school education. The chapter emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, highlighting personality tests and diagnostic assessments that can help you understand your strengths, weaknesses, and interaction styles. The role of the Career Center is discussed, outlining the crucial support it offers in terms of career development, job placement, and ongoing career guidance. The chapter also explores the benefits of company visits, informational interviews, and formal job/internship interviews, highlighting their potential for learning, networking, and securing employment opportunities.
