Abstract

The present study outlines mobile and digital advances in urban ecotourism, acknowledging some ground-breaking projects worldwide. On top of providing a broad perspective on general concepts related to urban ecotourism and its benefits, it also presents a revision of the value of urban green spaces. From an interdisciplinary perspective, this manuscript presents insights into the digitization of tourism, marketing and environmental sustainability. Future studies should allow for greater generalization of results, by understanding the (post) pandemic context in current research.
