Abstract

This chapter provides a brief overview of recent research devoted to the factors driving green behaviors. Green employees are seen as a key factor in driving workplace greening. A responsible attitude toward the environment is a necessary but not always sufficient condition for inducing environmentally responsible behavior. Workplace greening at the organizational level cannot be fully achieved without a modicum of individual behavioral engagement at each level of the organization. Unsurprisingly, much attention has therefore been paid to the variables determining the behaviors of green employees.
