Abstract

The aim is to build a guide for business leaders to build an authentically inclusive workplace by firstly addressing the gross gender imbalance in FinTech. This book uses the knowledge of over 150 women in the FinTech industry to form a blueprint that others can follow. The introduction explains that I have worked since 2005 as a recruiter finding technologists jobs in the financial services and FinTech sectors. In doing so I have learnt about various workplaces in the industry from large corporates to start-ups and scale-ups. I have interviewed senior women in my podcast series who work in the sector to understand why, and they have shared what actions we should take to affect this. I have written a blueprint for what we all could do should we wish to address the gender imbalance to ultimately build a stronger and more successful sector.
