Abstract

So far, this book has been focused on science and on scientific investigations. In my opinion, the conclusions from these investigations also have implications for daily life and daily life decisions. Starting from some general philosophical considerations, I go on and describe Hervé Zwirn’s convivial solipsism again, and in a final Section I give a fairly wide and general discussion of the process of making decisions in general. Decisions can be made by single persons or by groups of communicating persons. They may be influenced by a (common) context, and they have consequences on the way we act. In my opinion, Niels Bohr’s concept of complementarity may be seen as an important background for many of our decisions. Finally, a concrete discussion of the process of making political decisions is given.
