Abstract

Innovation in agriculture today requires expertise in different technological fields. No company has the necessary knowledge in all areas; this is why we can increasingly observe cooperation and joint development. Many of these innovation projects are orchestrated by small, agile start-ups that build small ecosystems and orchestrate their partners to develop an innovative value proposition. An example of one of the most active and networked start-ups is AgriCircle. Having expertise in digital modelling and data processing, AgriCircle works closely with research and industry partners on an inter-disciplinary basis to bring innovative applications to the market. The cases of such cooperation show the possibilities of connected solutions in agriculture. We illustrate two projects, which use data collected via satellites, drones, in-field sensors and soil samples to optimize agricultural practices.
