Abstract

So now you know a bit more about where you are as a company and the kind of capital and type of funder that best suits you, the next thing to consider is what type of funding is best for you. As you’ve seen in the previous 29 chapters, organizations need different types of funding based on who they are and what their funding needs are. What type of funding you might be able to attract depends on things like your risk profile, collateral, cash generation potential, attitudes toward ownership/dilution and exit prospects. These needs are varied and can be quite unique, so while I can give you suggestions about the characteristics of companies that these structures seem to work best for, I cannot tell you which type of contract is best for you.
