Abstract

This chapter summarizes the tests undertaken in Chapters 10 – 24 to determine if crowd out exits, and if so, how best to scientifically measure the extent to which changes in loanable funds, or reasonable variants of loanable funds, can offset crowd out and which appear to work best. The chapter concludes changes in total loanable funds best the extent to which the negative effects of crowd out on the economy can be offset.
