Abstract

This chapter offers the reader the author’s key takeaways from this book/research project. An anchor point for the future will be that leadership development addresses all five layers of the onion model—helping leaders grow to work at personal, team, organisational, industry and world levels. It is reflected how the leadership development industry will need to change to address the evolution in attitudes and behaviour that megatrends will bring. There is an acknowledgement that, in the light of megatrends, the channels through which leadership development is delivered will change. Importantly, this chapter also describes what will stay from the existing approaches to leadership development. Certain methods such as coaching and action learning are successfully used now and it is believed will meet the challenges of the future.
