Abstract

Although CSR is a very broad topic which is dealt with extensively in this book, there are a number of issues which are not dealt with in any depth. This chapter serves as an introduction to the volume and also highlights some of the major issues which need to be dealt with. One of these is the resources of the world and their use which must be considered in terms of the changing human population and the effect which this happens. So obviously if the population grows and each person lives longer, then more resources are needed. This therefore raises issues in terms of sustainability which also need to be addressed.
