Abstract

The demographic challenge of anPopulation ageing ageing populationAgeing population and the increasing diversity of working lifeWorking life call for a greater focus and deeper analysis of the opportunities and less favourable consequences of extended working lifeWorking life policiesExtending/ed working life policies . The 15th principle of The European PillarPillars of Social Rights (2017) emphasises that everyone in old age has the right to resources that ensure living in dignity. However, currently these rights are not ensured properly, as there are big differences concerning gender, healthHealth , and employment among older adults in many countries. This chapter discusses the gender and healthHealth implicationsHealth implications of the extension of working lifeWorking life in CyprusCyprus .
