Abstract

This chapter focuses on older workers and extended working life in Bulgaria, considering of ageing biological, chronological, social and mental/cognitive aspects. Key factors involved in the discussion are financial securitySecurity , pension arrangements and healthHealth , social and workplace characteristics. The demographic situation in BulgariaBulgaria has recently been defined in national debates as ‘one of greatest challenges facing the country in the 21st century’.
