Bosnia and Herzogovina

Abstract

Similar to other European countries experiencing growth in their 65+ populations, Bosnia and HerzegovinaBosnia-Herzogovina have also been affected by an intensivePopulation ageing population ageingAgeing population process. This national phenomenon affects the pension system, the healthHealth system and the labour market. A brief description of extending working lifeWorking life in the socio-economic context in Bosnia and HerzegovinaBosnia-Herzogovina, including gendered statisticsGendered statistics on employment forWorker older older workersOlder workers and pension coverage, is presented in this chapter. There is a discussion on extended working lifeWorking life policiesExtending/ed working life policies, pension reformsPension reform, pensions systems and policy, and relevant employment and healthHealth policiesHealth policies for older workersOlder workers. FlexiblePolicy/ies employment employment policiesEmployment policy and training forWorker older older workersOlder workers have not yet been introduced in Bosnia and HerzegovinaBosnia-Herzogovina. Future policy recommendations are also discussed.
