Control Phase: C Is for Control

Abstract

The main goal of the Control phase in DMAIC is to make sure that all activities planned in the Improve phase are successfully implemented, standardized, and sustained in the processes. The Control phase documents all phases of the Six Sigma project properly, makes sure that proper documents used in the processes are revised, and ensures that revised documents are in-use. It also makes sure that the Six Sigma team achieved the goals, achievements are not lost in the near future, successful examples are adapted across the organization, and the project is properly closed.
