General Theory in the Interior of the Domain

Abstract

In this chapter we begin the treatment of the local and microlocal semiclassical spectral asymptotics. At this stage we are interested in the standard spectral asymptotics, i.e., in asymptotics with respect to the Planck constant h → +0 only; namely, in this chapter we are interested in the asymptotics of the spectral function e(X, X, τ) which is the restriction to the diagonal of the Schwartz kernel of the spectral projector, and the spatial means of e(X, X, τ).
