Abstract

Abstrait Dans cette région, la plupart des produits agricoles importés sont moins taxés que ne le permettent les accords OMC. La taxe maximale y est de 20 % alors que le Nigéria va jusqu’à 50 %. Sauf exception comme en Guinée, les responsables politiques des pays de la zone UEMOA font passer ľintérêt des consommateurs urbains avant celui des ruraux. Le lobby des importateurs de denrées vivrières a souvent plus de poids auprès des décideurs que celui des organisations paysannes. La dépendance alimentaire est plus grave dans les pays côtiers que dans les pays enclavés.
