A Hunt-Stein Theorem for Amenable Semigroups

Abstract

A Hunt-Stein theorem is proved for statistical testing problems which are invariant under the action of an amenable semigroup. The proof uses the fixed point property, and is patterned after the Le Cam-Huber fixed point proof of the Hunt-Stein theorem for amenable groups.
