Supercomputing — A Forward Look

Abstract

In this talk I will take the term “supercomputing” to cover high—performance numerically—intensive computing used mainly for scientific/engineering applications. Also, I will take it to include the use of computers which can enable an individual in the course of one day to perform about as much computation as he could by accessing a shared state—of—the—art supercomputer.
