Abstract

This chapter offers a view of what might be over the horizon for the field of faith and spirituality in the workplace and how we might contribute to heaven on earth. Utilizing Alan Lurie’s definition of spirituality, “the experience of a transformative connection” in Chap. 6 , several possibilities for transformative connection are offered, including connecting faith and spirituality to sustainability, social justice, social entrepreneurship, spiritual capital, and the conscious capitalism movement. The chapter concludes with an invitation to explore spiritually based noetic ways of knowing in our research.
