Complete Measurement Procedures

Abstract

In any quantitative science, the actual values of quantities of interest have to be measured. The measurement devices have uncertain outcomes and, thus, their application establishes random experiments. In order to assess the measurement precision, the inherent uncertainty has to be taken into account by a stochastic model, which incorporates the quantity of interest as part of the distribution parameter.
