Abstract

By this point in time, you should have a solid understanding of equity and fixed income structure under your belt. You also should have determined how much you should invest in each of the types of assets you are willing to consider and have worked out your plan for how to structure each asset class to minimize risk from unwanted biases and fees from active managers in asset classes where you have little hope of adding value. Now it is time to discuss the process of selecting money managers that will put your money to work in the markets; so you take another step on your path toward financial success, leaving the structure decisions behind and focusing your energy on selecting investment managers who will add value into your portfolio.
