Abstract

Despite two short nights in a row and my jet lag, I set the alarm for six in the morning on day 3 of the strategy summit. I don’t want to lose the routine of daily runs. Judging by the informal feedback I’ve received and also by my own impressions, the first two days had been a success. Ross Bailkowsky and John McGrath made Day I really special. I had expected Ross to be an excellent speaker and wasn’t disappointed by his performance in front of the procurement team. He had elegantly woven the success of procurement into the overall story to transform Heartland. Had stock analysts been present during his speech, Heartland’s share price would have taken a big leap.
