Abstract

The majority of Americans younger than the age of 65 who have health insurance—nearly 150 million people— get their benefits at work. For most people, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) isn’t likely to change that. In fact, the extent of the law’s impact on your work-based health insurance benefits will depend largely on the size of the company you work for. Those who either operate or work in a small business are likely to see the biggest changes.
