Abstract

Dr. Bernhard van Lengerich is chief science officer and vice president for technology strategy at General Mills, Inc., in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. van Lengerich studied food and biotechnology at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, and completed his dissertation on systems analysis and food extrusion in 1984. His work experience includes employments at Unilever Germany, RJR Nabisco in New Jersey, and Buhler AG in Switzerland. In 1994, Dr. van Lengerich joined General Mills, Inc.
