Abstract

Conclusion The above discussions bring out the fact that the interactions in a community system can be reduced to interaction between human elements, driven by the motive of controlling the resources (physical, financial and information). It (the outcome of the interactions) is determined by the initial endowment of resources among the participating human elements. The actor (provider or the beneficiary) possessing relatively more resources, can direct the course of interactions according to his preferences. It also shows that until there is a mechanism to address the community opinion through control feedback loop, and recovery of some part of spent resources through resource feedback loop, the system will remain unstable and cannot achieve sustainability. So any future intervention designed to improve community systems must address the issues of control, endowment of resources and the negotiation process, instead of the physical elements.
