Abstract

Le GRENELLE DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT a réuni,en 2007, des représentants de tous les organismes et institutions concernées par le Développement Durable. L’objectif était de lancer un plan d’action à l’échelle nationale.L’appel à projet lancé au printemps 2009 par le Ministère de l’écologie, de l’environnement, du développement durable et de la mer (MEEDDM) fait partie de ce plan d’action. Des villes petites, moyennes et grandes, réparties dans toutes les Régions ont présenté160 projets d’écoquartier. En fin 2009 le MEEDDM a désigné vingt six projets lauréats lors de la première « conférence nationale Ville Durable ». Les équipes lauréates étaient invitées à participer à des ateliers pour définir les critères nationaux du concept d’écoquartier. L’Etat voulait ainsi éviter un usage abusif et purement commercial du terme d’écoquartier. Finalement, tous les représentants des projets déposés au Ministère ont eu accès aux ateliers.
