Abstract

We can consider 3D3C platforms (that include 3D, Community, Creation, Commerce) as a new medium, crawling and advancing, preparing to pounce on us in the next years. A medium that can combine entertainment, learning and work into one experience. This introduction defines 3D3C platforms, and explore some visions of applications that may impact our future. To conclude, a showcase is presented as an idiosyncratic look at the MVL Island to give the reader a sense to the diverse dimensions of one particular 3D3C implementation.
