Abstract

Industries and markets are characterized by firms with different business models competing against each other, as well as firms adopting different business models to provide their users and customers with specific value propositions. This chapter would highlight how different business models work together to create value as complementary to each other. The way each of these business models and interactions help develop network effects for the platforms and scale the business. At the end of this chapter, you would have acquired a nuanced understanding of different technology-driven business models and be able to appreciate the complementarities amongst different business models.
