Abstract

The production and consumption of energy play a vital role in economic development. This chapter introduces the development process of energy economics and the role of big data in it. Then the concept, significance, and key technologies of the energy internet are described. Big data analysis techniques in the field of energy economics such as data pre-processing, time series forecasting, and non-intrusive load identification are presented. Common application scenarios such as crude oil market, coal market, wind power market, photovoltaic market, and electricity market are analyzed. Finally, the scope of the book is summarized. This book combines energy economics and big data modeling analysis in energy conversion and management, and comprehensively introduces the relevant theories, key technologies, and application cases of the smart energy economy.
