Abstract

In an effort to streamlining the supply chain, the company must first focus on its internal procurement process. This calls for management to perform necessary analyses to understand the strategic implications of key essential inputs and to understand the supply market of these inputs. These in-depth understandings will serve as the foundation for developing appropriate strategy for procuring the inputs deem strategic important to the company. This chapter highlights several analyses, with examples, for management to gain insight into the procured inputs.
