Abstract

Public and private sector organisations in Türkiye have achieved notable advancements in enhancing data quality and transparency within the real estate sector, propelled by technological innovations. This chapter delineates the scope and quality of critical data sources in Türkiye. It elaborates on the public institutions tasked with collecting, producing, and disseminating statistics pertaining to real estate. Furthermore, the chapter analyses macroeconomic and social indicators pertinent to the real estate sector, including housing stock, construction activities, land registry, transaction data, as well as information concerning mortgage loans and real estate-backed financial instruments. Additionally, it encapsulates data on real estate and rental prices furnished by both public and private institutions.
