Abstract

The following case studies serve as a bridge between the data challenges (see Chap. 3 ) and the Sports Data Management Framework presented (see Chap. 4 ) and its concrete implementation in the real world of sports (see Fig. 5.1). This shows how sports organizations use data to address specific challenges, create real added value, and enable continuous learning. The first case study (Sect. 5.1) focuses on Sportian, a company that provides digital platform solutions for sports organizations to overcome challenges driven by data in sports and business.
