Abstract

This chapter proposes concrete reforms to modernize economics education through the lens of evolutionary economics. Arguing that current curricula remain too focused on static models, it outlines how principles like adaptation, selection, and complexity can be embedded at all levels of instruction. It provides a roadmap for integrating interdisciplinary thinking, dynamic modeling tools, and real-world case studies into economics and business programs. These reforms aim not only to improve relevance but also to foster a new generation of economists equipped to address systemic challenges in a rapidly changing world.
