Key Drivers of Business Efficiency in a Dynamic Environment

Abstract

The volatility of the market environment is a permanent feature of the functioning of markets worldwide. In recent decades, we have observed the increasing dynamics of these changes, which has not escaped the attention of scientists conducting research in this area. It results from unstable geopolitical or emerging pandemic situations, as with COVID-19. Organisations must identify solutions that enable rapid and dexterous adaptation while leveraging emerging opportunities. Thus, a number of key drivers have been identified that affect business efficiency, allowing companies not only to maintain one’s current market status but also to develop and build competitive advantages. According to the author, this chapter describes selected key drivers, which are among the most important. These include the development of IT technologies with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI), leadership skills and issues related to sustainable development (SD).
