Abstract

There is evidence that sustainabilitySustainability is becoming more central to the way organisations create and capture value. As sustainabilitySustainability strategyStrategy becomes business strategyStrategy, organisations need to change, aligning structures, cultures, systems and skills to embed sustainabilitySustainability. What does sustainabilitySustainability transformation look like in practice? What are the drivers, challenges and promising practices in change managementChange management for sustainabilitySustainability? In this chapter, the author provides sustainabilitySustainability practitioners with a review of existing evidence on change managementChange management for sustainabilitySustainability. The author grounds insights from the literature with learning form primary research conducted in the engineering consulting sector in the UK. Then, change managementChange management practices that have been adopted successfully in a variety of contexts are highlighted, to support readers in shaping sustainabilitySustainability transformation in their organisations.
