The issues covered in the chapter include the meaning and scope of social entrepreneurship, key concepts in social entrepreneurship, boundaries of social entrepreneurship, strategies used by social entrepreneurs, selected theories of social entrepreneurship, key challenges faced by social entrepreneurs, key characteristics of social entrepreneurs, key opportunities and challenges, and the key aspects of social entrepreneurship in Kenya and Africa. This chapter ends with a conclusion, key takeaways, and questions.
