Abstract

Novice researchers often encounter the dilemma of how their research can be expanded and enhanced through the gathering of data in a methodologically rigorous and dependable manner. An invaluable instrument is the utilization of surveys, focus groups, the Delphi method, and alike, which requires the knowledge of appropriate constructs. Novice researchers are frequently overwhelmed by the wide range of questionnaires, which can result in erroneous decisions that can have far-reaching implications for the success of design science research projects. Therefore, the present study endeavors to elucidate the obscure realm of data collection by presenting an extensive overview of questionnaires and constructs in design science research projects. Through the provision of descriptive knowledge in the form of data visualizations, as well as an interactive conceptual model and a database of questionnaires, our work contributes to a more profound comprehension and an extensive overview to aid novice researchers in their endeavors.
