Formation of a Cognitive Model of Visual Perception of 3D Models in Training Complexes

Abstract

The results of the research of hardware-software systems called by their authors “three-dimensional medical atlases” have shown that these are files with images of examined organs packed by the rules of databases. The image files are created according to the rules previously developed for “Medical atlases” published as books. Researches of “three-dimensional medical atlases” have shown that these programs additionally use multimedia capabilities: quick recall of necessary information by hyperlink and supplementation of visual information by text and audio information. However, simple copying of pre-existing technologies does not allow making full use of the capabilities of modern software and hardware systems for synthesizing real 3D images. In particular in order to make the “3D medical atlas” really three-dimensional it is advisable to apply well-known methods of synthesis of visually observed by a man 3D-images of real 3D-objects, or their 3D-models, which have been previously successfully implemented in the visual simulators of flight simulators. The peculiarity of such methods is synthesis of 3D-images for a trained person with simultaneous possibility of professional training of his/her eyesight. To solve such problems using optical components activating specified components of the visual apparatus of a person when viewing through the optics on a computer screen video sequences of 2D-projections of 3D-objects. Given the use of special optics to video images from 2D-projections of 3D-objects have special requirements. In general, it allows a person to believe that he sees the real 3D-images, which has a positive effect on the learning process of the person.
