Performance Management of Wicker Industry Employees to Drive Local Economy in Southern Thailand

Abstract

This research aimed to study the relationship between work factors that affect the employee's performance efficiency of the Wicker Industry in Southern Thailand. A sample of 110 people was determined using a stratified randomization technique, the research instrument was a questionnaire, and statistics analyzed the data was mean, standard deviation, and analysis (Multiple Regression).The results showed that the factors affecting the efficiency of the Wicker Industry in Southern Thailand employees in all five aspects were at the high opinion level; when considering each aspect, it was found that the highest level was the working environment and at a high level in 4 areas, namely knowledge and understanding of the work, job security and career path progression, and work morale. Furthermore, it was found that the relationship between work factors and employee performance yielded a predictive efficiency value of R2 of .054. Work factors affecting employees’ performance efficiency in all five areas related to operational efficiency got 5.4% at the significant level. However, the predictive ability is low. The influencing factor is a significant job progression stability of 0.048; therefore, the facility owner should focus on improving the work factor to achieve efficiency in more work performance.
