Abstract

The question of value-based supply chain management has been of considerable interest for academics and practitioners alike over the last 10 years. Research in this area is characterised by heterogeneity in terminology and in applied methodologies. This chapter sheds light on the current status, applied terminology and future directions of research on value-based SCM. A systematical content-analysis has been applied to 65 relevant peer-reviewed manuscripts published by 2010 in 3 journals.
