Abstract

Methods that use partial preference information tend to gain in popularity as their advantages become more and more widely known. There are several such methods available in the literature as presented in this book. A particular group of methods requires from Decision Makers (DMs) only the necessary and sufficient preference information, which is much less than traditional methods which are based on complete preference information require. There are several applications reported in the literature that use the FITradeoff Method for partial preference information. The applications presented in this text include among others, the following topics: sustainability, energy, health, supplier selection, security and defense, location problem, portfolio selection, urban and agricultural contexts and other industrial and management contexts.
