It begins with an overview of the evolution from traditional to digital supply chains and highlights the impact of this shift. The chapter discusses the role of technology in contemporary supply chains, emphasizing key technologies driving digital transformation and their effects on supply chain dynamics. It also explores strategic planning, integrating digital technologies in operations, and creating a digital ecosystem. Case studies illustrate best practices and provide key insights and takeaways. Future trends emphasizing sustainability and resilience are also outlined. This chapter utilizes a mixed-methods approach, integrating a literature review and case studies to thoroughly understand supply chain management in the digital era. Supply chain leaders are urged to foster innovation, adaptability, and collaboration to overcome challenges and develop resilient, customer-focused supply chains effectively. Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends is essential for long-term success in this continually evolving field.
