Abstract

The world is confronting a retrograding climate due to various reasons, and using fossil-based energy is major of them all. Leading nations are constantly working to protect the climate from the dire claw of greenhouse gas through a vast energy transition. Renewable energy is the utmost way to defend this situation and approach a sustainable climate. Efforts of advanced countries alone seem inadequate, as there is a mere little noticeable improvement so far. Hence, this paper finds the pathway toward sustainable energy for the developing sunbelt countries all over the world, annihilating the harmful fossil-based energy. No published article provides such a detailed sustainability solution for all sunbelt regions collectively. In this article, the channel toward RE transition through pursuing continental leaders regarding renewable energy capacity and installation, as well as obstacles and barriers, is described. Data are collected through extensive literature surveys and scanning. This research article is intended to support underdeveloped or developing regions located in the sunbelt to utilize their vast RE resources and eventually contribute to the global climate sustainability and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
