Abstract

The chapter discusses the problem of distinguishability of alternatives in a situation where the estimates of the alternatives are approximately equal, the estimates are sensitive to the initial data, to the choice of normalization methods and other model parameters. Indicators for comparing ratings are proposed, and numerical algorithms for estimating the magnitude of the relative error are proposed, which determine a significant difference in ratings with variations in the initial data and variations in normalization methods. Based on this analysis, it is possible to determine the aggregation methods that have the best ranking resolution.
