Abstract

Decisions are made by human beings. It does not matter how many different methods are available for this activity and how accurate they seem to be; they are simply tools to organize and process information and to support the DM. Once the processing of data is finished, they provide results but not definite valuable conclusions. It is the decision-maker who analyses this information and, based on it, decides and advises the stakeholders. This chapter is devoted to examining the functions of this important entity who has a great responsibility, and who must provide realistic and well-founded conclusions for the board of directors, to make the final decision.
